Marijuana Dispensary Paperwork
The most important thing of any medical marijuana dispensary should be to maintain the confidentiality of a patient’s marijuana dispensary paperwork. The authorization and the access of paperwork is usually a concern of many patients. Marijuana dispensaries should be able to maintain the confidentiality of their patients even if law enforcers want to seize the records of different patients. Many patients would prefer that they be the ones to give their medical information to the people they perceive necessary. Patients may prefer this for their safety or to prevent other people from knowing what type of medical conditions they are suffering from or what type of medication they are using.
Although it is not required by law for a dispensary to keep marijuana dispensary paperwork of different patients that are using medical marijuana, a dispensary should be able to know some of the safest ways of keeping their patient’s records safely if at all their business setup requires that medical conditions of their patients be kept. Advice from Southern Cannabis Institute suggest that dispensaries should keep such records off shore, store them with the dispensary’s attorney or use encrypted storage spaces available on the internet. Because of the legality concerns with medical marijuana, a dispensary may face summons from the federal authorities to fully disclose the patients they have on their list, it is important that they only disclose the total number of the patients and not their names.
In such cases, it would be very useful to seek for legal advice regarding the disclosure of such information for investigation purposes. Maintaining trust between the medical marijuana dispensary and the patient is very useful since it can determine the reputation the medical marijuana business has with the general public. If a patient’s marijuana dispensary paperwork is to be disclosed, then the patient should be the one to approve such. On the other hand, if the patient is not of sound mind, their care givers or family should be the ones to approve the disclosure of such information.
